The Boat of Love (In Pursuit of Peace)

We need to build a boat out of love, an invincible boat that can withstand the crushing poundings of the raging waves, a boat that no storm can overturn. Aboard a boat of love, we can sail confidently through turbulent waters and reach the shore of safety. A boat of love can overcome the towering waves of the most perilous seas. A boat of love—fueled by love— sails faster than any boat.

The welfare of the family unit constitutes the core of Islam’s social and moral teachings. One could scarcely find any other institution whose sanctity and significance Islam honors more than those of the family.
